Is photoshop an art form?
“Let’s first define our terms when we claim ‘art’. Art is a process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations and ways of expression, including music, literature, film, sculpture and paintings. Photoshopping would then be considered ‘art’ (digital art) but definitely in a different category of art – like you can’t compare a fine art’ still life oil painting with photoshopped image and say which is better, because they are in a different field of art. So I guess photoshop is considered a form of art, but it’s a different story if people will perceive it as art or not.” Yusuke Suzuki
